APPEARANCE. A classic tile designed to grace any style of architecture from traditional style and shape to the most contemporary design.

SECURITY. Metrocolorlux is designed and manufactured to withstand conditions such as strong winds and driving rain.  Tile panels interlock and overlap, locked in to a horizintal fixing system which shuts out environmental extremes.   Fastenings are situated at 90 degrees to eliminate wind lifting, providing resistance to hurricane force winds and earthquakes.

DURABILITY. From the base core Zincalume steel, a high build rust resistant primer is applied to either side with an additional thick acrylic finishing coat to the top surface.  A durable polymer backer coat for further protection is added to the primer underside.

The standard colour range of MetroColorlux tiles is produced from a proven paint system which uses only quality iron oxide pigments.   This system is designed to give excellent colour retention and is suited to most urban and mild marine areas.

For harsher environmental conditions such as in severe marine, geothermal

and heavy industrial areas, Metro Colorcote ZRX, Metro Colorsteel G2 or Metro Colorsteel VP paint systems are recommended.

COLOUR. Up to 15 exciting colours are available with nine of the most popular standard colours always in stock.

LIGHTWEIGHT.  A MetroColorlux roof weighs only 50kg per 10 metres square.   Therefore a home can be disigned to achieve considerable cost savings and advantages utlising the lightweight building code (NZ standard 3604) and can be installed with a 12 degree minimum pitch.   A MetroColorlux tile weighs only one-sixth of the weight of a conventional concrete tile.

REROOFING.  MetroColorlux can also be installed over an existing roof quickly and efficiently to enable the home owner to remodel a house in a mattter of days.

PROTECTION.  A MetroColorlux roof installed to the required standards carries a limited pro-rata warranty of up to 50 years and three year warranty on installation.
